Adventure Maps / Minigame Maps / Survival Maps
Playing standard survival is easy when you have infinite biomes to strip-mine for resources. One Chunk removes that option entirely. You get exactly one 16x16 chunk in the Overworld and one matching 16x16 chunk in the Nether. That is your entire world.
Even with the extreme space restriction, you can still beat the game. The vertical layout is built so every required progression step fits inside those specific chunk borders. Digging down reveals a custom Stronghold with a functioning End Portal. Crossing over into the Nether chunk puts you right next to a Blaze Spawner, allowing you to farm the rods needed for the End.
Resource management is the only way to survive. Every single dirt block, piece of wood, and ore vein matters if you plan to actually reach the Ender Dragon. You have to build vertically, figure out how to farm crops in a confined space, and rethink basic mob spawns to get the drops you need.
The map is playable in solo or multiplayer. It relies purely on world design rather than heavy scripts, so there are no extra mods to configure. You just load the save file and try to squeeze a full playthrough into 16x16 blocks.
