One chest. Endless void. Can you turn it into a world?
Chest One Block drops you into nothingness with a single lifeline: a chest. No islands, no freebies—just a tiny starter kit that’s barely enough to get moving. Pop it open, grab the essentials, and start thinking like a sky survival sweat: expand, secure, snowball.
First moves that actually matter: craft slabs and build out so you don’t yeet your loot into the void. Plant your first sapling and camp it; leaves = sticks, apples, and compost fuel. Set up a cobblestone generator ASAP (lava + water, clean channel so nothing burns), then swap to stone tools and start pacing your blocks. Every slab you place is momentum.
Food and bone meal come from a simple loop: tree → leaves → composter → bone meal → more trees/crops. When you’ve got 24+ blocks to spare, push a mob platform out from the chest and light your main deck—drops turn into string for beds, bones for farms, and arrows for safety. Keep a backup chest a few blocks away in case you derp and fall.
Progression goals that feel good: wheat/potato trays for steady food, a tiny auto-smelter so you’re not babysitting furnaces, then a safe ladder/bridge path to any side objectives the map gives you. If the starter loot includes water + lava, you can go full Skyblock brain: bigger farms, animal pens, maybe even a villager setup once you’re stable.
Couple of sanity tips:
Always crouch near edges.
Work over catch platforms so drops don’t vanish.
Keep your best gear in a chest when bridging.
Sleep early; phantoms ruin runs.
It’s simple on paper and sweaty in practice. You vs. gravity, armed with one chest and a plan. If you love turning scraps into a base that actually slaps, Chest One Block is pure, honest survival.
