Killer Scarecrow Map — a hide-and-run horror arena where one player (or the AI) hunts, the rest try to survive the timer, and getting caught slaps you with a jumpscare.
Killer Scarecrow Map is built around one simple feeling: that “don’t stop moving” panic you get when you know something is loose in the world and it’s coming for you. You start in a lobby-style setup where you can pick the mode (PvE against AI or PvP where someone becomes the hunter), choose your location, set the timer, and tweak the difficulty. That customization is huge because it lets the map work for different groups. If you’re playing Minecraft Bedrock with friends who are new to horror maps, you can keep it lighter and shorter. If your group is the “make it harder, we’re not scared” type, you can crank it up and turn every round into a sweaty sprint session.
The flow is split into clear phases that keep the pacing tight. First you get a Grace Period where the Scarecrow is “sleeping,” which is basically your prep window to plan routes, find your bearings, and decide where you’ll run when things go bad. Then the Survival Time hits and the Scarecrow is released. From that moment, the whole map shifts into chase mode. You’re not trying to “beat a boss,” you’re trying to manage space and timing—staying far enough away, not cornering yourself, and not making the greedy move that gets you trapped. The map even leans into the multiplayer drama by showing a list of survivors and caught players in chat, so everyone can see the round falling apart in real time.
What makes Killer Scarecrow Map hit is the hunter pressure. The Scarecrow can follow you wherever you go, so you don’t get that fake safety feeling where you hide in one room forever. You’re forced to rotate, keep moving, and constantly check your surroundings like you’re actually being hunted. And if you get caught, you don’t just “lose” quietly—you get a jump scare, which turns every mistake into a moment your friends will clown you for in voice chat. That alone makes it a great party map, because half the fun is hearing someone swear they’re fine and then instantly getting grabbed.
Since it’s in beta, you should go in expecting the experience to evolve. The final rush feature isn’t active yet, and the dev even calls out that future updates will make the Scarecrow AI smarter, which is honestly a good sign because the base concept already works. If you want a horror minigame for Minecraft Bedrock that’s easy to start, easy to replay, and perfect for “one more round” energy—especially on a Realm or server—Killer Scarecrow Map is a solid pick for late-night sessions where everyone’s acting brave until the Scarecrow wakes up.
