Hat Fun Addon

Mods / Mods 1.21

Hat Fun Mod — an adventure-first cosmetics addon where you hunt runes, craft hats in a special table, and flex headgear that protects like a diamond helmet.

Hat Fun Mod is all about going past basic armor looks and giving your Minecraft Bedrock / MCPE character real style, but it doesn’t hand it to you for free. The whole loop is built like a little questline: you explore, loot structures, collect parts, and slowly build up the stuff you need to craft your own hats. It’s cosmetics, yeah, but it’s cosmetics with a grind you can actually feel, so when you finally roll back into your base wearing a new hat, it feels earned instead of “I spawned it in and called it fashion.” The goal is simple: make your skin look cooler and show off, but the path there is structure runs, chest gambling, and coming home with whatever the world gives you.

The mod introduces a Converter Table, which is where the hat crafting happens. It has its own interface with three slots, plus a fourth slot that ties into the rune system later. That’s the table you’ll be coming back to after every adventure run, dumping your finds, and seeing what new hat you can piece together. To help with base vibes, Hat Fun Mod also adds the Dummy, which is basically a redesigned armor stand. It does the same job—holding armor and letting you store sets cleanly—but it’s styled like a little lonely doll that you can use as decoration. If you’re the type who likes a “gear room” in your base, this is perfect because you can line up your fits, save different sets, and make your place look lived-in instead of just having chests everywhere.

Runes are the real chase item. They’re found in chests across a bunch of structures, including Nether fortresses, igloos, snowy villages, taiga villages, mansions, pillager outposts, and more. That means Hat Fun Mod pushes you to travel and loot like an explorer instead of staying home and crafting everything instantly. You’re gearing up, packing food, and doing those long structure runs where half the fun is “what did I get this time?” Once you bring runes back, they interact with that extra slot on the Converter Table, tying your exploration directly into crafting progress.

Hat Fun Addon

To make crafting less annoying, the addon includes “Crafting Plus,” which exists to help facilitate creating the hats. The mod author even admits the item choices for recipes don’t always perfectly make sense, but the important part is it streamlines the process so you’re not stuck in a confusing mess once you’ve done the hard part of finding runes and parts.

And the payoff is legit: the hats occupy your head slot and protect you at the level of a diamond helmet, plus you can enchant them. So you’re not choosing between drip and survival protection—you can actually run your hat as real gear while still looking different from everyone in plain helmets. The hat lineup includes red and brown mushroom hats, crimson and warped fungus hats, a beanie hat with 16 colors, and a pine cone hat, all with custom sprites and some model tweaks so they feel like real items, not lazy reskins. Hat Fun Mod is perfect if you want cosmetics that feel like part of the survival journey—explore, loot, craft, enchant, and come back looking fresh enough that everyone notices.
