Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Addon

Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Mod — a Bedrock addon ported from the “Crops Overhaul Texture Pack” that adds new crops and foods without replacing any vanilla farming.

Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Mod is for players who want farming to feel bigger in Minecraft Bedrock without losing the normal stuff that already works. It’s a Bedrock Edition addon converted from the Java project called “Crops Overhaul Texture Pack,” and while the original was just textures, this version actually adds new, functional content. The important part is that it doesn’t wipe out or replace vanilla crops. Wheat, potatoes, carrots, and beetroot stay the same and keep working normally, so you’re not trading away your usual farms just to get new plants. You’re basically expanding your food game on top of what you already know.

The new crops are corn, tomatoes, avocados, and broccoli, and they’re treated as real crops you can grow. Corn and tomatoes use seeds—Corn Seeds and Tomato Seeds—while avocados and broccoli grow by planting the crop item itself, so you’re not hunting for a separate seed type for those two. Getting started happens through leaf litter: when you break leaf litter, there’s a 1/6 chance you’ll get seeds or plantable crops, which makes early exploration feel more rewarding because you’re not just looking for iron and coal anymore, you’re also scanning the ground for farming progression. Once you’ve got what you need, the growing rules stay familiar: plant them on tilled soil, keep them near water, and make sure the light level is high so they grow like you’d expect in Minecraft Bedrock survival.

On the food side, Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Mod leans into variety. Corn can turn into multiple items like cornbread, a corn cookie, and a corn cake that works like vanilla cake, except it doesn’t have the candle functionality. There’s also a corn bale, which fits the whole “farming build” aesthetic when you’re decorating barns, markets, or storage areas. Tomatoes come with their own seed and a tomato soup option, which makes them feel like more than just a filler crop. Avocados get a golden avocado variant, which is the kind of item that feels like a special upgrade once you’ve got a steady farm going. Broccoli has both baked broccoli and poisonous broccoli, which makes it a little more chaotic than the other crops and adds that “don’t just eat everything blindly” vibe to your food stash.

The addon also calls out some current quirks: crops can connect to fences and have other odd behaviors right now, and the creator says that’s planned to be fixed in a future update. So if you’re building a super clean farm layout, you’ll want to keep that in mind when placing fences near your crop lines. Overall, Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Mod is a straight upgrade for Minecraft Bedrock farming—new crops, new foods, and more reasons to build a real farm economy in your world, while vanilla crops stay untouched so your usual survival routine still works.
