Jurassic Collection — a Jurassic Park-themed Bedrock addon that lets you build a real theme park with powered electric fences and dangerous dinosaurs like the Metriacanthosaurus roaming your world.
Jurassic Collection is basically “build your own Jurassic Park” in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, but it isn’t just tossing dinos into the world and calling it a day. The addon is framed around the park vibe: authentic security systems, containment planning, and the constant stress of having something dangerous inside your world that you actually have to manage. If you’ve ever wanted to recreate those iconic movie scenes where everything looks controlled until it suddenly isn’t, this addon is built to deliver that exact tension loop—build the perimeter, power it properly, and hope you didn’t cut corners.
The core gameplay feature right now is the Electric Fence System, and it’s described as modular and realistic. You build security perimeters using fence posts and connect them with electric cables, which makes the design feel practical instead of like a single magic “fence block.” Power matters too: the fence requires a generator placed below it to run, and when it’s powered, it can deliver electric shocks. That creates a really fun survival-style building problem, because you’re not only designing a cool park layout, you’re making something functional. You’ll end up thinking like a park builder: where do you place the fence line, how do you route cables, and how do you keep the generator placement clean while still keeping everything powered? It also means the park has a “system” feel—security isn’t just cosmetic, it’s something you assemble.
The addon also leans into authenticity, calling out a movie-accurate appearance for the fence so you can recreate iconic scenes from the films. That’s perfect for builders who want their park to look the part, especially if you like making entrances, viewing platforms, back-of-house maintenance zones, or “restricted area” corridors. Even in a normal survival world, dropping a Jurassic-style perimeter around a zone instantly creates a new project: a contained area that feels like a real attraction, not just a random pen.
On the creature side, Jurassic Collection includes the Metriacanthosaurus, described as a medium-sized carnivorous theropod that roams the world and has dangerous, aggressive behavior. The addon basically warns you up front: keep them contained. That’s the best kind of warning, because it tells you the dinosaur isn’t meant to be a passive decoration. It’s a threat that exists for the sake of park gameplay, where containment and security design actually matter. If you’re playing with friends, this turns into natural roleplay without trying—one person builds, one person runs security, and everyone panics when something gets too close to the fence line.
The description also makes it clear this is an evolving project. Future updates are planned to add more dinosaur species from the Jurassic Park trilogy, more security structures and equipment, new items and blocks, enhanced dinosaur behaviors and interactions, and more prehistoric content. So even in its current state, Jurassic Collection is positioned as a foundation: electric fences plus a dangerous roaming carnivore, with more park systems and dinos intended to expand the whole experience over time. If you want a themed Bedrock addon where you can build a functioning Jurassic Park-style perimeter and deal with aggressive dinosaurs, Jurassic Collection is designed to be that mix of creative park building and “this could go wrong fast” survival tension.
