More Boats Addon

Mods / Mods 1.21

More Boats Mod — craftable rides for every route: river sprinters, cargo haulers, and stylish cruisers that make water travel actually fun.

This addon expands your dock with new boat options you can build and actually put to work in survival. Instead of the same old plank canoe every run, you pick the hull that fits the job—something nimble for tight rivers, something steadier for open ocean, something built to carry your loot without juggling inventories mid-trip. It stays true to the base game flow: gather, craft, launch. No admin magic, no weird commands, just more choices that feel right at a crafting table. On MCPE and Realms, the difference is immediate. Routes you used to avoid because they felt slow or sketchy suddenly click, and a five-minute supply run doesn’t balloon into twenty because you had to ferry items back and forth.

The best way to get value fast is to set up a proper dock. Carve a two-wide slip with a fence bumper, add a quick crafting bench and a labeled barrel for spare parts, and hang a pair of banners so you can find home in rain or fog. Keep one “daily driver” tied to the front and a beefier boat staged at the far side for long hauls. If a variant supports extra seating or storage, park it closest to your warehouse and make it your default for mining returns—less shuffling, more building. On servers, color-code a bay per player and the griefing drops to zero because everyone knows which ride is theirs.

Driving feels better when you treat it like a line, not a zigzag. Nudge FOV up a hair, switch to third-person rear for tight canals, and trace the outside edge of bends so you don’t oversteer into banks. On blue-ice highways, keep your angle shallow and feather inputs; you’ll carry speed without ricocheting like a pinball. Ocean crossings are all about rhythm: hug coastlines for landmarks, cut diagonals across bays, then return to shore before night so drowned with tridents don’t turn your trip into a panic. If weather hits, drop a temporary beacon—two lanterns on a spruce post—so your return leg lines up clean.

Co-op turns this into a legit transport network. One friend scouts rivers and drops waypoints, one runs cargo legs, one stocks the dock with fresh builds so nobody waits. Post simple rules in chat—don’t abandon boats in shipping lanes, return haulers to the long pier, keep tools in the barrel—and your world starts to feel like a little port city. It’s still Minecraft Bedrock at heart—chop wood, craft, explore—but with More Boats Mod, water stops being a detour and becomes the route you look forward to.
