Tuff Golem | Concept Addon — living statues you can dress, pose, freeze, and bring back to life whenever you want.

This addon takes the original tuff golem concept and actually turns it into something you can build stories around in your world. Summoning one is as simple and familiar as it gets: you stack a tuff block with a carved pumpkin on top and the golem pops into existence, just like other classic golems. At first it’s bare stone, but the fun starts when you walk up with carpets. Any carpet color you use becomes its cloth, wrapping around the little statue and giving it personality. That cloth isn’t just cosmetic, either — only golems that are “dressed” are allowed to carry items, so the moment you put a color on them, they graduate from being set pieces to becoming tiny display stands. Interact normally and you can hand them items or take those items back, turning them into mobile pedestals that match your storage room, gallery, or trophy hall.

Over time, each golem develops a really nice rhythm in your base. After it has been wandering for a bit, it will eventually sit down on its own, shifting from “helper” to “statue mode” without you doing anything. That’s when you can take the control a step further. While the golem is seated, you sneak and use a honeycomb on it to hard-freeze it into a true Tuff Golem Statue. Placement rules are smart: the statue only forms if there’s air or water below, so you don’t accidentally overwrite solid blocks. Once it becomes a statue, it turns into a regular placeable block that you can break, pick up, and move wherever you want, just like any other decorative piece. Even in this block form, carpets and shears still work: interact with carpet to swap colors, or crouch with shears to strip the cloth entirely and reset the look.

The best part is how easy it is to move between “living” and “decor” states. If you ever decide you want that statue to walk again, all you have to do is sneak and interact with it using an axe. The stone shell cracks, the golem comes back to life, and you’ve got a moving helper again, still able to carry items as long as it’s dressed. In survival, this loop opens up a lot of subtle uses. You can build a hallway lined with frozen sentinels, then wake a few up as you expand deeper into your base. You can color-code golems by room — green cloth for farming, blue for storage, red for rare loot — and park them as statues until you need them active. In co-op worlds, people naturally start treating them like house spirits: one player curates a museum of item-holding statues, another uses them as guards by doorways, and someone else keeps a single golem on the crafting floor, waking and freezing it as a sort of mascot. Tuff Golem | Concept Addon doesn’t try to overload you with mechanics; it just gives you a clean, satisfying loop of summoning, dressing, posing, petrifying, and reviving that makes your builds feel like they’re inhabited by more than just villagers and pets.
