Throwable Items Addon

Mods / Mods 1.21

Throwable Items Mod — turn your hotbar into a row of gadgets you can actually throw instead of just swing.

Throwable Items Mod drops eight new throwable toys into Minecraft Bedrock, all fully craftable in survival and totally safe for achievements. You’re not dealing with commands, presets, or weird setup here: you just unlock the recipes, stock up like you would on tools or food, and head out. Each item is something you hold, aim, and launch, so instead of always running straight at mobs with a sword, you finally have a reason to soften things up or interact with the world from a distance. Because it doesn’t need experimental features, you can drop this straight into a long-term world or a Realm without breaking anything or forcing everyone to toggle extra settings.

In actual gameplay it feels really good to have a pocket full of throwables as backup. You’re roaming caves or open fields, see a cluster of mobs, and instead of closing in and tanking hits, you switch to one of the new items and let it fly. Sometimes you just want to disrupt a group from range, tag a target in a tight spot, or keep distance while you’re low on health, and these items make that kind of play way smoother. Even simple encounters get more interesting when you’re not limited to bow, crossbow, or trident as your only ranged options. With eight different throwables on the table, you can experiment, learn how each one behaves on impact, and slowly figure out which ones fit your normal survival routine.

On multiplayer worlds and Realms, Throwable Items Mod really comes alive in mini-games and casual PvP. Because everything is crafted legitimately and achievements still work, you can keep a clean survival experience while layering in fun custom rules like “only throwables in this arena” or “no swords, just gadgets.” Players can stock their favorite items before an event, stash them in chests at spawn, or sell them out of shops once they’ve farmed the materials. The fact that these are real items with recipes means they slot perfectly into existing economies and progression: if you want more, you grind more resources, same as anything else.

The best part is how low-friction it is. You don’t have to learn a new UI or memorize commands; you just craft, equip, aim, and throw. If you like the feel of snowballs, ender pearls, and other vanilla throwables but always wished there were more toys in that category, this addon quietly answers that wish without overcomplicating your world. It keeps your Bedrock or MCPE run fully legit, adds eight fresh ways to interact with fights and events, and gives you a new reason to think about what’s in your off-hand and hotbar before you walk into the next dungeon, raid, or arena.
