Portable Beacon Addon — a handheld beacon that lets you stay buffed on the move without building a whole pyramid.
Portable Beacon Addon is built for the kind of survival run where you’re never standing still long enough to babysit a base beacon. Instead of grinding out a full beacon pyramid setup, you get the effect just by keeping the Portable Beacon in your hand or in your shield slot, so the power follows you into caves, ruins, and random fights on the road. It’s the difference between “I’ll come back to my beacon later” and “I’m ready right now,” especially when you’re roaming far from spawn and you don’t want your best boosts stuck at home.
In real gameplay, this feels super clean for exploration. You can dip into a new biome, push deeper into a cave system, or sprint between points of interest without doing the usual stop-and-build routine. When you’re juggling torches, food, and whatever tool is about to break, having the Portable Beacon Addon as a “just hold it” solution is the kind of convenience that actually changes how you move. It also plays nice with the shield slot idea: you’re not forced to give up your main hand every second if you don’t want to, and you can flex between being defensive and staying powered up depending on what you’re doing.
The UI part is where it stays practical instead of annoying. Portable Beacon Addon lets you swap and upgrade effects in the UI, so you’re not locked into one choice forever. That’s huge because your needs change constantly: one minute you’re clearing a mob-heavy area, the next you’re trying to travel fast, then you’re back to combat again. Being able to adjust through the UI means you can prep for the moment instead of wishing you picked something different earlier. Just don’t treat it like a “set it once and forget it” thing—get into the habit of swapping based on what you’re about to do, and it’ll feel way more useful.
Portable Beacon Addon is also made to drop into a normal Minecraft Bedrock / MCPE world without you having to rebuild your whole playstyle around it. If you like tight combat and you’re always getting jumped at the worst time, keeping the Portable Beacon ready in hand or shield slot can be the difference between barely surviving and actually controlling the fight. It’s a small change on paper, but in survival it hits like a real quality-of-life upgrade because the power is finally portable.
