Let's be real, the default vanilla shield in Bedrock is incredibly clunky. It takes up a massive chunk of your screen space and honestly just looks like a boring wooden slab strapped to your forearm. If you want to clean up your UI and actually look good while blocking, this add-on is the exact visual upgrade you need.
The developers over at Hydra Team Forge basically threw the old vanilla model in the trash and built a completely new lineup from the ground up.
The Upgrades
Massive Visual Overhaul: This completely ditches the flat, low-effort vanilla texture in favor of custom, highly detailed models that actually look like proper defensive gear.
Six Unique Designs: Instead of being locked into a single boring aesthetic, you get half a dozen different variants. This lets you actually coordinate your off-hand with the rest of your armor set or skin.
Zero Gameplay Sacrifices: These aren't just broken cosmetic props that look cool but get you killed in a raid. They are 100% functional—they will still block skeleton arrows, tank creeper explosions, and parry melee hits exactly like the standard version.
It is a super lightweight tweak, but considering you spend almost your entire survival playthrough staring at your off-hand, having a clean, custom shield makes the whole combat experience feel way more polished.
Installation:

— Install McAddon or McPack files, just open it for this;
— Select new textures in the settings;
— Done.
