The CSO DLC Old Guns Addon expands your Bedrock arsenal by injecting a heavy lineup of classic military hardware directly into your world, but it relies entirely on a strict dependency structure. Because this .mcaddon functions as an official expansion pack, you absolutely cannot run it as a standalone modification. You have to download and enable the core Actual Guns CSO behavior and resource packs first, which provide the underlying framework that stops these weapons from just acting like clunky, retextured vanilla bows. Once the base files are loaded, this DLC natively hooks into that existing architecture, dropping fully modeled assault rifles, sidearms, and SMGs directly into your survival maps or custom PvP arenas.
Arsenal and Weapon Mechanics
Instead of cluttering the registry with random fantasy items, this DLC strictly focuses on bringing in iconic tactical hardware. The expansion introduces high-tier rifles like the AK-12, SCAR-H, ARX-160, and AK-47, alongside a dedicated SMG lineup featuring the P90, MP7, Bizon, and Tempest. For sidearms, you get access to standard Glocks and the heavy-hitting Desert Eagle, plus a custom Butterfly knife for close-quarters melee combat. Every single weapon ties into the core Actual Guns ballistic system, meaning you have to manage physical ammunition, custom reload animations, and actual recoil patterns. You can't just spam the interact button to map-wipe a horde of zombies; you have to actively pace your shots and manage your magazines just like in a dedicated shooter.
Optimization and World Setup
Because this DLC hooks directly into the complex custom entity scripts and firing logic of the base Actual Guns mod, you absolutely must ensure all required Experimental Gameplay toggles are active in your world settings before creating the save file. When configuring the world, you need to stack the DLC's behavior and resource packs directly above the core Actual Guns packs in your active add-on list to ensure the new weapon models and sound files initialize correctly. Despite stacking multiple .mcpack dependencies, the firing scripts are highly optimized for the Bedrock engine. The ballistic calculations will not tank your server TPS or cause heavy client-side frame drops, meaning you can easily run massive, fast-paced gunfights on mobile devices, consoles, or high-end Windows PCs without experiencing crippling lag spikes.
