End Improvements | End Additions Mod — a vanilla-faithful End upgrade that makes the dimension less predictable and turns the dragon into a real final-boss fight.
End Improvements | End Additions Mod keeps the End looking and feeling like vanilla, but it fixes that late-game problem where everything becomes a routine once you’ve learned the patterns. The biggest change is the Ender Dragon itself, rebalanced to feel more like a true endgame threat with Wither-level presence. Health scales by difficulty, so the fight actually lasts: 300 HP on Easy, 450 HP on Normal, and 600 HP on Hard. That alone makes the run back to the center, the crystal cleanup, and your timing on damage windows matter way more, because you can’t just “get it over with” in a couple of clean cycles and call it a day.
The dragon’s behavior is tuned to keep you on your toes. It lands a bit less often, which means fewer comfy moments where everyone stands still and farms free hits. When it does land, the fire breath sticks around for a shorter time, pushing you to react fast instead of waiting out a long hazard zone. Ranged pressure goes up too: fireballs have a wider effective radius, they launch more frequently, and they hit harder by applying Instant Damage II instead of level I, so sloppy movement gets punished immediately. Even close-range is scarier, because contact damage from the dragon’s body is increased, so you can’t just hug the hitbox and pretend it’s safe. One of the coolest “oh no” moments is the takeoff roar: when the dragon lifts off, it blasts nearby players and mobs upward and shoves them back hard, inspired by Java Edition behavior. If you’re geared up in Netherite armor, you get rewarded with reduced knockback, which makes preparation actually feel like it matters in the End instead of being pure flex.
End crystals get spicier too. Crystals now apply slightly stronger knockback, so positioning and timing around towers becomes a bigger deal, especially when you’re trying to break crystals without getting launched into bad angles. On top of that, every crystal tower has redesigned structures, adding visual variety while still matching the vanilla End aesthetic, so the arena feels fresher without turning into a totally different dimension. And once you’re done with the main boss loop, there’s new endgame content to chase: the End Trial structure. Inspired by Enderscape, End Trials use ominous trial spawners that force you to fight for your rewards, and they include ominous-quality vaults with rare loot. That includes a 33% chance at a Heavy Core (used to craft the Mace), plus Enchanted Golden Apples, Decorative Smithing Templates, and the Mojang Logo Banner Pattern. Overall, End Improvements | End Additions Mod makes the End feel like it deserves to be the endgame again—same vibe, way more bite, and new reasons to stick around after the dragon.
