Armored Ghast Mod — gear up a Happy Ghast with armor, propellers, and a cannon so it’s actually worth using for survival travel and fights.
Armored Ghast Mod is basically a “make the Happy Ghast matter” addon for Minecraft Bedrock/MCPE. Instead of being a cute flex you ride once and then forget, the whole idea here is giving it real equipment slots so it can pull weight in a survival world. The big rule is that taming is required if you want to ride it and have it protect you, so you’re not instantly skipping progression the moment you see one. Once it’s yours, you can start treating it like a moving platform and a combat buddy, which is the kind of thing that changes how you plan exploration. Long trips stop being a boring sprint-fest, and you can start thinking in routes, quick getaways, and flying in with purpose instead of dragging a boat everywhere.
The gear lineup is where the mod leans in. You’ve got Ghast Armor that boosts the ghast’s defense, and it comes in variants that scale from copper up to netherite, so you can match your stage of survival instead of jumping straight to endgame power. For travel, the Wind Propeller is the loud favorite because it boosts the Happy Ghast’s speed three times, which is huge when you’re crossing big empty stretches or trying to move between bases without wasting a whole session. Then there’s the Ghast Cannon, which adds offense by launching an attack when the Happy Ghast you’ve equipped is already attacking. It’s not some random auto-turret vibe; it’s tied to the ghast being in a fight, so it feels like an attachment that supports combat instead of replacing it.
A neat part of Armored Ghast Mod is how the cannon’s ammo variety is handled through tubes. The Empty Tube is basically the base piece, and the Charged Tube is what gives the cannon unique bullet variants, so you can tweak how it behaves depending on what you load in. The mod also includes a Wrench to detach certain equipment, which matters more than it sounds because survival worlds change fast—sometimes you want max speed, sometimes you want defense, sometimes you want to strip gear off safely before switching setups. If you’re wondering how you’re supposed to remember all of this without digging through menus, the addon answers that with the Guide Box you get when you freshly spawn. Place it down and it explains how to use the features and where the sources for obtaining things are, so you’re not guessing your way through the system. Overall, Armored Ghast Mod turns the Happy Ghast into an actual tool for survival players: faster travel when you want it, tougher defense when you need it, and a combat option that feels earned once you’ve tamed and outfitted your ride.
