Simple Sit Addon

Mods / Mods 1.21

Simple Sit Mod — a configurable sit-anywhere system for Minecraft Bedrock Edition that lets you turn regular blocks into real seats.

Simple Sit Mod is the kind of quality-of-life add-on you don’t notice until you use it once and suddenly you want it in every world. The core is straightforward: type /sit and your character sits instantly on the solid block directly under you. It’s quick, it feels natural, and it keeps things fair since you can’t trigger it while you’re in the air or if you’re already sitting. That means no weird mid-jump sitting or spammy glitches—just a clean “take a seat” action when you’re actually standing where a seat makes sense.

Where Simple Sit Mod really gets fun is the control you get over what counts as a seat. With /situi, admins can open the in-game Sit Configuration UI (SitUI) and handle everything right there without digging through files. You can add, edit, or remove seatable blocks and make the rules as simple or as picky as you want. Want stairs, fences, and slabs to work like chairs and benches? Easy. Want to filter specific variants? Do it. It even supports permutation / block state logic, so you can target block states with conditions like upside_down_bit=false or check doors with open_bit=true or open_bit=false. If you like getting precise, you can stack checks using && and ||, so you can build rules like “sit only on stairs that aren’t upside-down” or “only allow doors as seats when they’re closed,” without turning your config into a mess.

The exclusion system is the other half of keeping things smooth. Instead of letting everything through and hoping nothing acts weird, you can block out specific variants by tossing them into the exclusion list. That’s perfect for avoiding blocks you just don’t want people sitting on, whether it looks goofy in your builds or it causes annoying edge cases. And if you ever go too far tweaking and want a clean slate, Simple Sit Mod gives you a one-button reset right inside SitUI to restore the entire setup back to default, no drama.

It also handles the annoying “what if the seat breaks” moment automatically. If the supporting block gets destroyed, the seat is removed and the player is safely ejected, so you don’t end up stuck in a broken sitting state. And because the whole configuration is stored using dynamic world properties, your seat rules stay saved even after reloading or restarting the world. Set it up once, keep it forever, and Simple Sit Mod just quietly keeps your hangout spots, builds, and little roleplay corners feeling way more alive.
