Simple Death Coords Mod — lose the fight, not your stuff.
You know that sick feeling when your hotbar vanishes into a cave you can’t describe? This addon turns that panic into a clean retrieval plan. The moment you go down, it prints the exact spot you fell—either once in chat so it’s saved in your scrollback, or pinned above your hotbar as a persistent action-bar readout that follows you while you run the route. You choose the style in a simple in-game menu, no commands required beyond opening the “Simple Death Coords Menu.” Pick chat for a quiet log you can check later, or lock in the action-bar mode when you want a live breadcrumb that clears itself as soon as you’re within arm’s reach of your drop. If you take a second L on the way? It updates automatically to the newest spot, so you’re never chasing yesterday’s problem.
In survival, it changes how you move. After a messy ravine slip, you respawn, glance at the numbers, grab a bucket and a handful of blocks, and retrace with purpose instead of guessing which tunnel “felt right.” On Nether runs, the readout keeps you honest about height while you bridge over lava, and that tiny Y correction is often the difference between a clean recovery and a third trip. In the End, it’s a sanity saver when you’ve been circling an island chain; the overlay doesn’t care about your sense of direction—it points you back to where it happened, full stop. Because the coordinates vanish within a few blocks of the site, you get the satisfaction of “found it” without extra clutter hanging around afterward.
Servers and Realms get real quality-of-life from the permission layer. Operators can flip server mode, decide who can tweak settings, and keep the feature fair without drowning chat in spam. It’s light on performance, so community nights don’t hitch when a couple of players biff a jump at the same time. The interface is obvious enough for new players, but flexible for veterans who want a quiet chat log on build days and a bright action bar during risky excursions. Set your mode, stash a spare kit by spawn, and play braver. With Simple Death Coords, every death becomes a short, confident run-back instead of a rage-quit.
