Thermonuclear Expansion Addon

Mods / Mods 1.21

Thermonuclear Expansion Mod — a brutal late-game tech grind where nukes aren’t cheap buttons, they’re the payoff of a full industrial nightmare you built yourself.

Instead of handing you cartoon explosives, Thermonuclear Expansion makes you earn every blast the hard way. You don’t just craft a “mega TNT” and call it a day — you start at the absolute bottom of the chain, digging up dirty uranium and turning it into something usable step by step. Early on it feels like any other resource run: mining, hauling, setting up processing lines. Then the machines come online, the refining loop kicks in, and you realize you’re basically running a serious industrial project out in some remote valley because there’s no way you’re doing this next to your main base. The whole point is that by the time you’re anywhere near a warhead, you’ve already invested real time and brainpower into getting there.

In survival, this changes how you plan your world. You don’t drop a reactor wherever there’s space; you scout a safe distance, build a hardened facility, and route power and materials like it’s a real project. You’ve got ore going into refineries, refined fuel feeding a reactor, and that reactor turning out the special material you need for your “endgame solutions.” It’s the kind of setup where you’ll want alarms, backup containment, and a bunker or two just in case something goes sideways. You can still play a chill builder run, but once you commit to the thermonuclear branch, your world starts to feel like it has a classified zone you only visit when you mean business.

On Realms and servers this mod is pure politics fuel. One faction controls the uranium fields and refining plants, another rushes to copy the tech before they fall behind, and everyone suddenly cares a lot more about intel and sabotage. Maybe your group agrees to keep the big devices as last-resort deterrents, or maybe you lean full chaos and turn remote deserts into test ranges where you and your friends see what happens if you actually push the button. Either way, these weapons stop being toys and start feeling like the crown at the top of a long, risky tech tree.

Thermonuclear Expansion Mod is for players who like the idea of world-ending power but want it wrapped in heavy process, logistics, and planning instead of quick recipes. If you’ve ever wanted your tech base to feel a little too real, this is the branch of the game you build far from town, guard like crazy, and think twice about every time you arm the payload.
