Epic Machinery Mod — small beta lineup, big factory brain: sunlight in, power buffered, rocks conjured, drops vacuumed, and your build loop finally feels industrial.
Drop into a fresh world and this pack slots straight into survival without breaking it. The solar panel is your day-one engine—set it on a clean roofline or a fenced pad with full sky, and watch the bar climb as the sun does its arc. It won’t carry a megabase alone, but it’s perfect for a starter grid where uptime and quiet matter more than raw output. Park a power distributor within range so the juice has somewhere to live; smack the casing to read the FE level like a gauge, then wire your machines off that battery instead of running them naked. The rhythm is simple: morning fills the tank, afternoon feeds your workload, dusk winds down into storage so nothing stutters when the light fades.
Once you’ve got a trickle of energy, the cave miner starts paying rent. Think of it as a patient prospector, rolling new ore over time rather than vomiting riches in five minutes. Tuck it in a serviced bay beside the distributor, give it headroom so you can walk in and check it, and let the advanced hopper do the janitor work. That hopper is the sneaky MVP in this beta—it pulls loose items from fifteen blocks out and hands them off like a pro. Drop one under the miner’s mouth, another under your mob drop lane or tree-chop corner, and the base stops feeling like a yard sale. You’ll hear a ping, look over, and realize the floor stayed clean while you were crafting.
Cobble is the other quiet win. A dedicated generator humming on house power means no more clunky water-lava contraptions chewing picks while you zone out. Feed its output into a chest line and you’ve got an honest building supply ready for stonecutter sessions, roadwork, and scaffolding duties without draining your mine. The nice surprise is how these few blocks already loop into each other. Sunlight becomes stored FE, stored FE drives ore trickle and cobble flow, the hopper vacuums the mess so you keep moving, and the distributor sits in the middle like a calm heartbeat you can check with one punch. On Realms or co-op, one person can babysit power while another expands bays and a third routes outputs; even in beta, the division of labor feels natural. It’s not the endgame factory yet, but it’s the kind of start that makes you sketch expansion arrows on signs and mean it.
