Smart Auto-Torch Addon

Mods / Mods 1.21

Smart Auto-Torch Mod — cave exploring on autopilot, your world gets lit while you just focus on not dying.

With Smart Auto-Torch Mod, running through caves in Minecraft Bedrock stops being that annoying routine of “place torch, walk three blocks, place torch, repeat.” Instead, you just bring a stack of torches, head underground, and let the addon do the boring part for you. Whenever the light level drops too low around you, it quietly drops a torch behind your back, leaving a breadcrumb trail of light while you keep your eyes forward on mobs, ores, and holes in the floor. You’re not spamming right-click or tapping every few steps, you’re just moving, fighting, mining, and the path behind you stays safe and visible for the way back.

The smart part is it doesn’t waste your stuff. Smart Auto-Torch Mod constantly checks the area around you for existing light sources in about a seven-block radius—lanterns, lava, glowstone, all the usual suspects. If the space is already bright, it holds off and saves your torches for spots that actually need them. That means no more coming home with half a cave overlit and your inventory empty. It also understands the difference between walking under trees and diving into real caves. If you’re just running through a forest during the day, it won’t freak out about the shadows and start decorating the whole biome with torches. Drop down into a proper underground tunnel, though, and it gets to work, lighting as you move so you don’t have to stop and think about it.

Control is still in your hands. If you want to build in moody, dark lighting or run horror-style maps without extra torches everywhere, there’s a built-in kill switch. Rename a basic stick to “Torch Off,” hold it in your main hand, and the addon instantly shuts itself up. No more auto-placing until you put the stick away and go back to normal tools. On SMPs and Realms, this makes Smart Auto-Torch Mod perfect for people who love caving but hate torch management. One player can dive deep, carve huge tunnel systems, and everything stays lit and readable for the rest of the server. You don’t lose the survival feel—torches still cost resources, you still craft them—but the whole process of exploring underground in MCPE gets smoother, less clunky, and way easier to enjoy for long sessions.
