Zombie Mask Mod — craft a simple mask and walk through the night like you’re one of the undead, as long as you don’t start swinging first.

Zombie Mask Mod is perfect for players who love survival but hate the constant stress of getting jumped every time they step outside. The idea is super clean: you craft and wear a Zombie Mask, and most hostile mobs will read you as “one of them” and leave you alone. It’s not Peaceful mode, and it doesn’t turn your world into a free sandbox. You still have danger out there, you still have to play smart, but you get a way to move around without every random mob instantly aggroing on you. The catch is fair too—if you attack them, the deal is off. So it’s more like stealth survival than “I’m invincible.”

Crafting the mask is straightforward: 4 Leather, 1 Green Dye, and 1 Black Dye. That makes it feel like an early-to-mid survival item you can realistically work toward without turning it into a grind quest. Once you’ve got it on, you can do things like travel at night, build outside your base, or make long resource runs without constantly stopping to fight. It’s especially nice for casual players and builders, because you can focus on projects without spending half your session clearing mobs off scaffolding or getting interrupted while you’re landscaping.



The mod also keeps the world feeling alive by not making everything magically friendly. There are specific reactions you have to respect. Iron Golems can see you as a zombie, so they might attack you if you roll into a village wearing the mask. Snow Golems will also attack you while you’re masked up, so it’s not a “wear it everywhere with zero downside” situation. Villagers will be frightened by you, which makes sense, but they’ll still trade, so you’re not locked out of progression—you just look sketchy while doing business. And some enemies aren’t fooled at all: witches and illagers are called out as smart enough to know you’re only wearing a mask, so they’ll still attack you. That’s a big deal because it means you can’t rely on the mask as a universal shield; you still need awareness and a backup plan.

Zombie Mask Mod fits best when you want a safer survival experience while keeping achievements enabled and the game’s challenge intact. Wear it to travel, scout, and build in peace, then take it off when you’re ready to fight for real. It’s basically a “play chill without turning the world off” tool that rewards you for staying calm and not starting fights you don’t need.
