Drop The Meat Addon

It has always felt a little weird that certain passive animals in vanilla just vanish into a puff of smoke without dropping any food. The Drop The Meat Addon completely fixes that oversight by ensuring literally every single passive creature in the game finally drops a cookable cut of meat. It is a fantastic, slightly unhinged quality-of-life tweak that makes surviving in barren biomes a whole lot easier since you no longer have to rely strictly on cows and pigs. The absolute funniest part of this pack, though, has to be the villagers. Instead of just grunting and crossing their arms, they now occasionally drop their actual noses when killed, which you can either eat as a very weird delicacy or smelt down into a surprisingly useful slimeball.
Since you are directly injecting brand-new items into standard mob loot tables, this functions as a proper behavior modification. You will need to jump into your world generation menu and turn on the required experimental gameplay toggles so the custom drops and campfire recipes actually register correctly. Naturally, modifying core entity drops and adding unofficial food sources means your Xbox Live achievements will be turned off for that save. The creator actually designed this to be extremely modpack friendly, making it an awesome, lightweight foundation if you are putting together a massive custom survival realm and want to pair it with other culinary mods.
You really do not have to worry about this mod destroying your server performance, either. Because it relies purely on basic 2D item sprites and standard vanilla drop mechanics rather than injecting heavy custom entity models or complex AI scripts, it is incredibly well-optimized. Even if you have a massive automated mob farm running in the background dumping hundreds of new meat types into a hopper system, your world's tick rate will stay rock solid. It keeps the gameplay buttery smooth across all platforms, letting console and mobile players enjoy the pure chaos of hoarding villager noses without experiencing a single frame drop.
