Raiyon's Item Physics Addon

Mods 26 [1.26] / Mods 1.21

Raiyon's Item Physics Mod will make items lying on the ground more realistic and beautiful.

Vanilla Minecraft's floating, spinning 2D item drops look incredibly dated, but Raiyon's Item Physics completely modernizes the experience by giving every dropped item actual weight and physical presence. Instead of hovering mid-air, blocks and tools tumble and lay flat on the terrain. You have to manually pick them up by hitting them, holding the interact button, or sneaking nearby, which adds a tactile layer to basic resource gathering. The add-on doesn't break core game logic either—Netherite still survives lava, items still float in water, and the standard five-minute despawn timer remains fully intact.

The backend implementation here is a massive triumph for Bedrock modding. Historically, altering core item entities required heavy scripting that instantly flagged a world as a cheat save. However, the creator recently rebuilt the codebase from scratch specifically to make it 100% achievement-friendly. You can scatter physically accurate items all over your main survival base while still actively earning Xbox Live Gamerscore. Furthermore, it requires absolutely zero menu configuration. It is officially listed as a "Non Experimental Addon," meaning you do not need to dive into your world settings to toggle Experimental Gameplay features or activate unstable Beta APIs. You simply apply the behavior and resource packs, and the physics engine takes over natively.

From a hardware perspective, applying custom physics and collision detection to every single dropped item sounds like a recipe for a crashed game, but the add-on features aggressive background optimization. To prevent rendering bottlenecks, it dynamically combines loose items that are close together into physics stacks of up to five, drastically reducing the active entity count on the ground. Modern desktop PCs and current-gen consoles will handle messy storage rooms and mining trips flawlessly. For players on older budget smartphones and low-end tablets, this stacking mechanic is a lifesaver that keeps framerates surprisingly stable. The only real danger zone on a weaker mobile GPU is triggering massive TNT explosions, where the engine is forced to spawn hundreds of individual physical entities in a single tick before the background scripts have a chance to combine them into manageable stacks.

Installation:
