Throw Stones Mod — ditch the arrow grind and pelt mobs with stones you find out in the world.
Throw Stones Mod is for those Minecraft Bedrock / MCPE survival starts where you’re broke, low on gear, and arrows feel way more annoying than they should. Instead of rushing skeleton fights or hunting down feathers just to make a basic ranged option, this addon gives you a simpler plan: find stones, throw stones. It turns early combat into something you can actually do right away, because stones are everywhere and the mod leans into that “use what’s around you” survival vibe.
The main loop is tied to exploration. Small Stone Structures generate around your world, and when you spot one, you break it to get Small Stones. That’s the whole resource chain—no complicated crafting tree, no special setup, just a reason to keep your eyes open while you’re traveling. It also makes roaming the world feel a little more rewarding, because those structures become mini supply stops. You’re out looking for a village or a good base spot and, on the way, you stock up on throwable ammo just by smashing a stone pile.
In real gameplay, Throw Stones Mod is clutch for two situations: early survival and caves. Early on, stones give you a safe way to poke mobs without walking into every fight, which matters when you’re in leather gear and your food bar is sad. In caves, being able to hit something from a distance is huge when the terrain is tight and you don’t want to get cornered. Stones won’t replace a full bow setup forever, but that’s not the point. The point is having a cheap ranged option that feels natural and doesn’t force you into the “arrow economy” immediately.
It’s also fun in multiplayer because it creates goofy moments that still have real use. You can mess around throwing stones at each other or clear mobs off a friend who’s mining, and it keeps combat feeling active even when nobody has proper ranged gear yet. Throw Stones Mod is basically a small survival upgrade that makes the early game smoother: find the small stone structures, break them, stock up, and start throwing.
