Expanded Waypoints Mod — a personal waypoint system that lets you save spots and teleport between them for an XP cost.
Expanded Waypoints Mod is made for those worlds where you keep saying “I’ll remember where that was” and then you absolutely do not remember where that was. You can set up to 35 waypoints, which is enough to cover your main base, mining zones, cool biomes, villages, and all the random “come back later” finds that usually get lost to time. The whole flow is simple: you type /expanded_waypoints:point, hit Enter, and it pops open an interface where you can create waypoints, remove old ones, and teleport to the ones you’ve saved. No digging through menus forever, no confusing setup—just a clean waypoint list you control.
The one thing you have to respect is the travel cost. Expanded Waypoints Mod charges you 1 XP for every 1,000 blocks when you teleport, so long jumps aren’t free. That sounds small until you start bouncing across the map all day, so it naturally pushes you to play smart instead of spamming teleports like it’s creative. The best way to use it is to treat waypoints like “real locations” you care about, not temporary pins you’ll delete in five minutes. Drop one at your base, one at your main mine entrance, one near a farm area, and a couple for long-term projects like a big build site or a biome you’re collecting blocks from. If you’re doing long-distance exploring, set a waypoint at a safe return spot before you go deep, because paying a little XP to snap back beats trying to retrace a messy path through caves and mountains.
Since your waypoints are personal, the ones you create only work for you when it comes to teleportation. That’s actually nice for solo progression because nobody else can piggyback off your map knowledge or mess with your travel routine. It also means you can organize the list however you want without worrying about “team rules” or shared naming. Expanded Waypoints Mod becomes extra clutch when your world gets layered—like when you’ve got a starter base, a newer upgraded base, a strip-mining area, a mountain project, and some far-off spot you only visit for one specific resource. Instead of wasting play sessions on pure travel time, you spend your XP to jump straight into the part that matters, then you earn that XP back naturally by actually playing. Expanded Waypoints Mod doesn’t try to replace exploration—it just saves you from the boring repeat trips once you’ve already earned the discovery.
