Ki: The Parallel (Stalker) (Horror) (LCrandom) Addon

Mods / Mods 26 [1.26]

Throwing another loud, screeching monster into Minecraft usually ruins the horror element by turning the game into a tedious death loop. Ki: The Parallel avoids that entirely by leaning into psychological dread and paranoia. Heavily inspired by the LCrandom series, this add-on introduces stalker entities that do not just aggressively charge at you. Instead, they observe from a distance, standing silently in the treeline or peering out of caves, and actively disappear when you least expect it. It creates a constant, creeping feeling of being watched. By keeping the core vanilla survival loop intact and recommending that players drop their brightness down to "Moody," the pack forces you to second-guess every shadow and silhouette while you try to go about your normal gameplay.

Injecting these stalker mechanics into your world carries the standard Bedrock add-on restrictions. Because you are applying a custom third-party behavior pack to generate these new entities and their unique hit-and-run AI, your Xbox Live achievements will be permanently disabled on that save file. You cannot earn Gamerscore while using this mod. Furthermore, running custom distance-tracking and vanishing scripts usually requires specific world configurations. You will need to dive into your world options and enable Experimental Gameplay toggles—specifically ensuring Beta APIs are active—before hitting play. If you skip those developer switches, the stalkers will likely fail to spawn entirely, or their complex vanishing mechanics will break, leaving them standing around like brainless vanilla zombies.

Where this pack truly stands out is in its hardware optimization. Most custom horror add-ons bloat the game with heavy, high-poly 3D models, massive custom audio files, and chaotic particle effects that quickly overwhelm the Bedrock engine. The Parallel takes the exact opposite approach, aggressively optimizing its assets to keep the total file size under 4MB. Because the entities rely on clean, vanilla-style geometry and lightweight background scripts to pull off their mind games, the engine barely registers the extra load. Modern desktop PCs and current-gen consoles will obviously run it flawlessly, but more importantly, older budget smartphones and low-end tablets can handle this add-on without a single frame drop. It delivers serious psychological horror without causing the thermal throttling or tick lag that usually ruins custom mods on portable devices.
