Blurry's Java PvP Minecraft PvP battle with the Java version of Minecraft Bedrock.
Minecraft Bedrock has always been stuck with the old pre-1.9 spam-click combat system, but Blurry's Java PvP completely overhauls it to match the modern Java Edition rhythm. This add-on introduces full attack cooldowns, on-screen crosshair indicators, sweeping edge sword attacks, and proper sprint knockback. It forces you to stop mindlessly mashing the attack button and start pacing your strikes for maximum damage. The pack also bundles in massive quality-of-life adjustments: you can instantly raise your shield without sneaking, double-crouch to place food in your offhand, track your hunger with a custom saturation bar, and even utilize Java-exclusive physics like doors creating air pockets underwater and TNT minecarts exploding instantly.
Because it fundamentally rewrites player damage logic through a behavior pack, standard Bedrock restrictions apply. The exact moment you load this into your world, Xbox Live achievements are permanently disabled, meaning you will not earn Gamerscore while fighting. However, the backend implementation is a massive technical achievement. The add-on completely avoids overwriting the core `player.json` file and functions without requiring a single Experimental Gameplay toggle or Beta API. It is entirely plug-and-play, featuring in-game `/admin_config` and `/config` menus that let you seamlessly adjust settings on the fly without risking your save file to experimental script breaks.
Hardware performance is exceptionally stable because the modification alters underlying combat mathematics rather than flooding the world with massive custom entity models or chaotic particle trails. Modern desktop PCs and current-gen consoles will not even notice the background script calculations. The experience on older budget smartphones and low-end tablets is equally smooth during standard combat encounters. The only specific processing bottleneck on weaker mobile chips occurs when utilizing the sweeping edge mechanic inside a densely packed mob farm. Forcing the Bedrock engine to instantly calculate simultaneous damage values, knockback vectors, and sweeping particle effects for dozens of entities at the exact same moment can cause a brief tick-lag stutter. As long as you avoid spamming sweep attacks into massive crowds on a phone, the combat stays perfectly fluid.
