Most companion add-ons in Bedrock give you a generic, reskinned wolf that gets itself killed in lava within five minutes. Omedweller takes the concept of a loyal pet and completely flips it into a high-stakes horror mechanic. Inspired by the YouTuber Omenaso, the add-on gives you the "Omebuddy," a companion with a massive 5,000 HP pool that can defend you in combat or independently gather entire stacks of wood, stone, and dirt within a 200-block radius. The catch is the strict, Tamagotchi-style upkeep. You must feed him a cookie every morning and evening. If you miss a feeding, he violently transforms into the Omedweller—a terrifying stalker that actively breaks blocks, tears through your base, and hunts you down for a full minute before reverting. It forces you to constantly manage your inventory and schedule while out exploring, turning a helpful pet into a ticking time bomb.

Following the reveal of "The Sift" dimension at Minecraft Live 2026, this add-on attempts to recreate that vibrant spirit-realm aesthetic directly inside Bedrock right now. The best part of this project isn't actually what's inside the dimension yet—since it's still in a very early, barebones beta—but rather how you get there. It finally gives a functional purpose to the giant reinforced deepslate frame in the Deep Dark. You have to survive an Ancient City, clear the sculk away from the frame, and ignite it with flint and steel to open the gateway. It's a fantastic concept for endgame exploration, even if the dimension itself is currently a bit empty.

The system dynamically calculates your success rate based on real item values—betting a stack of dirt for a Netherite sword gives you practically zero chance, while risking rare loot offers much better odds. If the wheel lands in the winning zone, you get the upgrade. If it fails, your wager is permanently deleted.
